Jefa Steering has developed a unit to prevent the wheel from rotating while under autopilot cruise. This steering wheel disengagement unit is only available for tandem wheels as the wheel hub of these type wheels is big enough to accommodate the mechanism. By rotating the black knob, the wheel is pulled backwards and 5 off pins disengage from a flange which is attached to the steering shaft. The wheel disengagement unit is a part of the steering wheel and not of the steering system. This means it can be fitted on existing steering systems. The retail price of this unit is € 906,- excluding VAT.

The white brake knob will be also stainless steel from now on and the black disengagement knob will be in white.
